Melissa Ingle is a data scientist in the field of Natural Language Processing. At Twitter she worked in political misinformation, writing and monitoring algorithms to keep the platform free of content that could damage election integrity. She monitored elections in the US, UK, Brazil, Japan, India, and elsewhere. She had 12 years experience working in a variety of tech startup environments before joining Twitter. She holds master's degrees in data science and business administration. She writes on data science and transgender issues and has spoken on political misinformation in social media and why AI should be viewed as just another tool in our toolbox rather than the single solution to all our woes. She lives in San Francisco, CA with her two children and her dog, Biscuit.
