Susie Alegre is an author and leading human rights barrister.  She is an Associate at the internationally renowned Doughty Street Chambers and a Senior Fellow at CIGI.

She has been a legal pioneer in digital rights, in particular the impact of artificial intelligence and big data on the human rights of freedom of thought and opinion. Her book Freedom to Think (Atlantic Books 2022) explores these issues in depth and was a Book of the Year 2022 in the Financial Times and The Telegraph newspapers.  Susie writes and appears regularly in national and international media.
